Sir Elton John, Stephen Fry and Dua Lipa have supported calls for LGBT 'conversion therapies' to be made illegal in the UK.
The stars have added their names to a 200,000-strong open letter to the Women and Equalities Minister Liz Truss demanding an end to the controversial therapies.
The petition, which was sent by the Ban Conversion Therapy campaign group and calls for an end to the treatments 'for all lesbian, gay, bi, trans and gender diverse people in the UK', will now be considered for a debate in Parliament.
Conversion therapy is an umbrella term which refers to any procedure or psychotherapy which is aimed at changing a person's sexuality.

Ms Truss has previously said the Government is looking into whether to ban conversion therapies.
Speaking in the Commons last month, she said: 'Conversion therapy is a vile, abhorrent practice that we want to stop.
'We have commissioned research to look at the scope of the practice in the UK and we will publish our plans shortly after we receive that research.'
Conversion therapy refers to any form of procedure which is aimed at changing a person's sexuality.

In the UK, the NHS and major counselling and psychotherapy bodies have condemned conversion therapies by signing a Memorandum of Understanding.
The controversial therapy sees therapists try to change a patient's sexual orientation and is based on an assumption that being lesbian, gay, bi or trans is a mental illness that can be 'cured', according to the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender rights charity Stonewell.
According to the UK Council for Psychotherapy: 'It is exploitative for a psychotherapist to offer treatment that might 'cure' or 'reduce' same sex attraction as to do so would be offering a treatment for which there is no illness.'
