Baby quilt patterns can be purchased as part of a quilting kit, or found in magazines, books, and quilting stores. It is also quite easy to piece together a quilt of your own design using leftover fabric. You might want to consider using a regular sized pattern, and scaling it down to a smaller size, such as 36 x 45 inches. The size of course is up to you.

Quilt Blanket Use the tailor's chalk to draw lines connecting the marks at the bottom of the fabric to the marks at the top. You want the lines to be as straight as possible. To achieve this, take something long and flat (like a long piece of cardboard) and use it as a guide while you draw the lines.
The best bed you can make for your Retriever inside the house is with a woolen blanket - an old one - and keep its meal and water, close by all the time. If inside the house and sleeping with you in your bedroom, well, you better be prepared to get up twice or thrice to take it outdoors for it to answer nature's call. You will get used to it, and so will your pet! You bet!
Fire Pits: Have a fire pit (covered! Sparks and wedding gowns do NOT get along!) to signify that settling in feeling. Then have a fire at your reception with seating around. Have a relaxed enough reception that people can sit around and relax with one another before the fire. Continue that tradition in your marriage. On your own and with guests.
Decide the amount of usage the baby quilt will receive and how often it will be cleaned or laundered. If the project will be a wall hanging, more intricate patterns could be considered as opposed to a child's personal blanket that will be well-loved.
